If your Saphe T does not show speed or speed signs, or shows them incorrectly, it may be necessary to reset the phone's GPS.
Normally, we do not use third-party apps, but in this case, we make an exception, as it can otherwise be difficult or impossible to fix the GPS on an Android phone.
Reset the phone's GPS
- Open the "Google Play Store"
- Search for "GPS Status & Toolbox" or click here
- Tap "Install"
- Open the app when it has finished installing
- You will be asked if you want to allow the app to use GPS. Tap "Allow all the time" - you can change this or uninstall the app afterwards
- Open the menu by swiping from the right side of the screen towards the middle twice, and tap the 3 lines in the top left corner
- Tap "Manage A-GPS state"
- Tap "Reset" - wait while the app resets the phone's GPS
- Restart your phone
If it is not possible to download the app, you can do the following instead:
- Open "Google Maps" on the phone
- Tap the blue circle that shows your location
- Tap "Calibrate" on the menu that appears
- Follow the guide on the phone, which asks you to scan around
- Restart the phone
Switch between miles and kilometres
If your Saphe T shows some incorrect speeds or some incorrect speed signs, it may also be because it shows the speed in either miles or kilometres.
- Open the Saphe Link app
- Go to "Menu"
- Select "General settings"
- Under "Location" the function must be turned off for display to be in km/h
