Once you have connected your Saphe One+ and completed the setup in the Saphe Link app, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and location services are set to Always. Your Saphe One+ will then automatically connect when you get into your car.
You will hear a beep when the connection is successfully established.
Note: There will be no light on the LED when Saphe One+ is properly connected.
Troubleshooting
If the connection to your Saphe One+ is unstable, try the following:
Solutions for iPhone
- iPhone - Set location to "Always"
- iPhone - Disable power-saving mode
- iPhone - Reinstall the Saphe Link app
Solutions for Android
- Android - Set location to "Always"
- Android - Reinstall the Saphe Link app
- Android - Clear Bluetooth data
iPhone - Set location to "Always"
1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Scroll down to Apps and find Saphe Link.
3. Tap on Location and select Always.
4. Enable Precise Location if it is not already enabled.
Note: The Always setting does not mean Saphe always has access to your location. Data is stored locally on your phone and only shared when you actively send it.
iPhone - Disable power-saving mode
1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Select Battery.
3. Disable Low Power Mode.
If Low Power Mode is enabled, it may close the Saphe Link app in the background, making the connection unstable.
iPhone - Reinstall the Saphe Link app
1. Delete the Saphe Link app.
2. Restart your iPhone to perform a soft reset. Press volume up, then volume down, and hold the power button until the phone turns off.
3. Reinstall the Saphe Link app.
4. Follow the setup process and reconnect your Saphe One+.
Android - Set location to "Always"
Ensure location permission is set to Always.
1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Tap on Apps.
3. Scroll down and select Saphe Link.
4. Tap on Permissions.
5. Select Location.
6. Choose Always.
7. Enable Precise Location if it is not already enabled.
Android - Clear Bluetooth data
If connection issues persist, clearing Bluetooth data can help:
1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Tap on Apps and select "Show system apps."
3. Select Bluetooth.
4. Tap on Storage and choose Clear data.
5. Restart your phone.
Note: After clearing Bluetooth data, you must reconnect all Bluetooth devices.
