There are several types of alerts at Saphe. Saphe is a traffic community, which means that we create the alerts together. When someone spots and reports an alert, it benefits the rest of the community.
What happens if I report an alert by mistake?
Nothing happens. We have established some quality criteria for alerts. This means, among other things, that you must be moving at a minimum speed before an alert can be created. In addition, alerts are only active as long as they continue to be confirmed by other users.
Stationary alerts are generally always marked on our maps.
What should I do if I don't receive an alert?
There may be several reasons why you do not receive an alert:
- The alert has not yet been reported in the system.
- Your phone or Saphe is not connected to the internet or Bluetooth.
You can always check the Saphe Link app under Menu > Status and permissions. Everything should be green for Saphe to function correctly.
What should I do if I have received a fine?
Of course, it is really unfortunate to receive a fine. Saphe is intended as an aid in traffic, and we provide many alerts. However, you may be the first person to pass an incident and therefore have to report the alert to the system yourself.
Please note: Saphe does not refund fines
