If the Saphe Link app cannot determine your location or your speed appears inaccurate, resetting the location settings may resolve the issue.
Note: While we typically avoid using third-party apps, in this specific case, we make an exception as it can be challenging or even impossible to correct the GPS on an Android device otherwise.
1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for GPS Status & Toolbox (or follow the direct link to the app on your phone).
3. Tap Install.
- 4. Open the app once it has finished installing.
- 5. When prompted, allow the app to use GPS by selecting Always Allow. You can change this setting or uninstall the app later if needed.
- 6. Access the menu by swiping from the left side of the screen toward the center.
- 7. Tap Manage A-GPS State.
- 8. Select Reset and wait while the app resets your phone’s GPS.
- 9. Restart your phone.
If downloading the app isn't possible, follow these steps instead:
1. Open Google Maps on your phone.- 2. Tap the blue circle that indicates your current location.
- 3. Select Calibrate from the menu that appears.
- 4. Follow the on-screen instructions, which may ask you to move your phone in a specific pattern.
- 5. Restart your phone.
